These are proprietary, science-based metrics and models built around how players' decisions interact in space and time during real match play. Priori helps you augment your tactical intuition with a data-driven lens.

No. Expected-goals models score outcomes. Priori scores decisions, which occur upstream of the ultimate outcome. Each decision is scored against the best option available at that moment, from the full spatial picture of all twenty-two players.

No. Priori is collaborative, not prescriptive. It exists to validate or challenge what your staff already believes, not to dictate tactics.

All you need to upload is a tactical video file of the match you'd like analyzed. You can optionally upload existing tracking data and event data to further enrich the analyses, but these are not necessary to get started.

No. Priori is designed so coaches or sporting executives with no coding experience can use it directly as a software application, while simultaneously preserving the option for data analysts or engineers to dig into the raw data.

Yes. Our SDK and raw underlying notebook access gives data-native users the tools to build their own metrics or models on top of Priori's structured representations of the game.

Yes. If you'd like to analyze an upcoming opponent's style of play, upload one of their recent matches and see the same familiar tactical breakdowns as you do when you upload your own matches.
